We run four river power plants in Glomma, Norway’s largest water shed, two river power plants in the Halden water shed, two more in the Skien water shed and one river power plant in the river Andelva.

Through the companies Akershus Energi Varme, Bio Varme Akershus and Bio Varme, Akershus Energi will invest one billion NOK in environmentally friendly district heating in the years to come. This will reduce the annual CO2-emissions by 120.000 tons.

Today Akershus Energi produces heating in Lillestrøm, Lørenskog and Årnes. We are constructing a system in Eidsvoll and will start constructing one in Sørumsand in the spring of 2010.

Another business area in Akershus Energi is power trading, ie selling the power we produce and in addition trading power in the financial market.
